NAF PROMISES TO HONOUR ITS FALLEN HEROES AND SUPPORT FAMILIES
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, yesterday restated the commitment of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) towards the welfare of the families of deceased personnel. The CAS gave this assurance while commissioning a new block of 12 by one-bedroom flats for airmen and airwomen at NAF Base, Abuja. The new building was named after late Corporal Omaka WI. The CAS, who was represented by the Chief of Administration (COA), Air Vice Marshal Lawal Alao, said that the naming of the building after the late Corporal Omaka WI was to honour the late airman who died in 2016 while on Internal Security operations in Minna, Niger State. He added that the NAF would continue to remember and support families of fallen heroes to serve as a morale booster to other personnel.
