(LIFE SAVERS) NAFOWA SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAMME IN PORT HARCOURT
In sustenance of efforts at reducing unemployment among women and youths in the country, the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) has inaugurated a skill acquisition and vocational training programme for 150 women and youths at the 115 Special Operations Group Port Harcourt. The trainees, who were mostly widows, orphans and dependants of deceased NAF personnel, will be empowered with requisite skills to make them self-reliant and economically productive. In her speech at the occasion, the NAFOWA National President, Hajiya Hafsat Sadique Abubakar, urged the 150 participants to take the training seriously and apply themselves towards obtaining impressive results. Mrs Abubakar also encouraged them to work hard and see the training as an opportunity for greater achievements.
