5 NOTABLE PROGRESS NIGERIAN ARMY HAS MADE IN BORNO STATE

it not  surprising that since the inception of President Buhari and Buratai the Chief of Army Staff,the army has been able to subdue and curtail the insurgency and terrorism of the islamist sect-Boko-haram  in the north-east especially in Borno state, here are the notable progress the federal government and the arm-forces has made in Borno state since the new administration started;

Re-opening of schools- Public secondary schools have been reopened in Borno after years of desertion due to the intensity of the insurgency. Schools were first re-opened on Monday September 26, 2016 after 2years of closure.

Release of chibok girls- The adoption of this girls were seen as a myth and a political strategy to tarnish the administration of the former president- Goodluck Ebele Jonathan but it became real when 21 chibok girls were released on the 13th October 2016 and 82 others regained their freedom on the 7th of May, 2017; thanks to the army.

 The capture of Sambisa forest- This dreaded forest where the Boko-haram forces staged as their headquarters and prison hold for the captured chibok girls was captured on December 23rd, 2016 by the arm forces and currently serves as a training ground for the Nigerian army.

Two strategic roads re-opened-The Maiduiguri-Gubio road and Maiduiguri-Mungono road which are strategic roads were closed for three years due to intensive terrorism in the north eastern state but was gained back and reopened on the 26th of December, 2017; all thanks to the army's gallantry.

Resumption of Arik air flight-The flight company had suspended their flight activities for three years due to the insurgency but has now resumed fully on may 7th, 2017 due to the neutralization of the Bokoharam by the armed forces.

Surely, all this did not happen without sacrifices and loss of men of honour and valor like Lieutenant Colonel Abu-Ali and his unit,Lieutenant AC Oguntoye, Major Erasmus, and the rest which i could not mention, their efforts were surely not in vain.
