(OPINIONS) UNN LECTURER THREATENS STUDENTS FOR NOT BUYING HIS BOOK

It is painful and sardonic that in this era of development and awareness people are still suffering from victimization for reasons that are not justified. A lecturer and PHD holder in the faculty of social sciences has threatened to stop all students in a final class from getting their seminar topics approved for not buying his book.
The lecturer had already approved some of the students topic without them having his book, but suddenly changed his mind for reasons i don't know.
 Surprising, the lecturer has started implementing his words as a student's topic was rejected because he didn't have the lecturer's book which is rather not relevant to the course he is handling. During my early days in school, the former vice chancellor- Prof Bartho Okolo prohibited lecturers from such atrocious act but since he left, the impunity has continued and these students are left in dilemma, even in this recession. The moment I knew that my mum picked that Command form for my common entrance, I was perplexed; I had never had any relationship with a military personnel in my life time for any reason. I could remember my major fear was to be drilled in the school by a soldier; I wished never to be a victim of any soldier till I had completed my stay there. Guess what …..It never happened. On the day of my interview I received a stroke from the then P.A to the Commandant; then Corporal Okeke (my respect and love to you sir); this soldier “no dey send oh, he dey flog both pikin and mama then for the sake of discipline”. OSAMCA03' REUNIOUN!!!

LOL...., it have been hilarious all through.It been such a wonderful day for the Old students association of marist comprehensive academy uturu class 2003. Sure! they had fun in the dinner night held in the Piccadilly suites hall, Lekki,VI, Lagos. 20 years! I must confess, it really been long since this class had been together, having fun this way. It had really been emotional and humorous thanks to the MC-Soyibibo (Kabal) "The mischievous but Intelligent OSAMCA". however, dignitaries like their seniors and principal- Christopher  Onwuasanya were invited to the occasion. The principal expressed his joy and satisfaction in the class during his speech. Finally, the principal was advised by the class to help the school get back to its high status in Education among other schools.   They are reciting the school anthem like old days.
